My 4th day in US... 1st post.. quite a bit of things to write

to whoever read this blog, this is my 1st time blogging so bear with me...

i only really settle down in US on the 2nd day.. well.. got a good rent.. $420+30 for utilities, which is lower than what i initially expected (ard 800). Thing are going well here, juz one, i have to start learning how to cook. I am talking abt really COOKING, not instant noodles. In fact, I juz cooked my 1st meal... well.. not very tasty


Anw... as i was bored on saturday, i decided to go down to LA-Hollywood to take a look. i think it's part and parcel of being new to a place. It took me almost 1.5 hour to reach LA by this service called 'AMTRAK', which cost me 19 bucks. On reaching LA, then I knew that I could have taken 'MetroLink' which is MRT equivalent, which cost 4.25. The frustrating thing is they actually run on the same track! Well... 15 bucks wasted..

Anw.. I reach Hollywood quite late, book into a dorm which cost 25 bucks a nite. not too shabby. Check out the pics I took in Hollywood....



These are the night scenes.. Anw.. Hollywood is not really very big.. There are only that few tourist attractions. Unlike LA downtown, it doesn't have a party-liked night life. Havent gone to LA downtime cos was too tired the next day.

On the night, went to this Strip club near my hostel.. kns, nothing interesting... well.. i know what you guys are thinking... no nude girls walking ard... juz some very athletic girls with bikinis doing pole dances... nothing spectacular.. i ll go down to Las Vegas to check out the real one if i got time though...

Let's look at one Hollywood trademark to prove that i really went hollywood...

btw.. the other one i was stepping on is 'Jacky Chan'.. if you cant see...

Well.. got something quite interesting... check this..

THis is a US 'ONE dollar' note with Angelina Jolie's face instead.. I have checked.. it is really exactly the same as real note.. texture.. size.. design... i was told it should even show the same security feature under UV light.. i wonder if it's true.. well.. got all other hollywood star as well but of course i choose one that is more pleasant to the eyes.. well it took 6.5 bucks out of my wallet thou...

Oh yah.... net if you are reading this... i got you something.. haha... that should be your 22nd birthday present... for the rest.. paiseh.. this is totally a random thing... saw net's name on it, so well...

The 2nd day.. I went to Universal Studio City Walk... Touted as something like a 'must go'.. but i actually don't find it very special.. well... since i am at the home base of Universal Studio.. I decided to watch a show.. 'I am Legend'.. took my 6 bucks... well that's alright... Didn't go into the theme park... too expensive and I don't think i ll enjoy the rides anw...

After which i tried to go to Santa Monica Beach... bad decision.. it actually took me 1.5 hr to get there.. when i got there it's already late... so i headed back soon after... nothing much...

Havent gone to LA downtown... Juz checked out... Cheapo Hotel in LA downtown actually cost 50 bucks a night only... think i ll go down before school starts on 7th...
